Thames Photo | Stephen Einhorn | Designer Jewellery CraftsmanI was on my way to the National Theatre yesterday, when I was suddenly struck by the beauty of the scene unfolding before me. The pleasure boats swaying gently at their moorings, finally at rest. The skyline magnificent with old and new standing proud together. It reminded me of a verse which I was often told as a child.

Oh Mother Thames you gently flow,

Breathing life into our great city,

Like a mother cradling her milk soaked babes

Against her soft and wondrous bosom,

You give us life, so that we may,

In turn, grow and prosper from your

Great beneficence.

The heartbreak heart: a hand-painted plaster heart broken open to reach the piece inside

The giving

A heart they have to break

Every piece arrives in a Stephen Einhorn box. For the ones that should be remembered, we wrap the piece in soft cloth and seal it inside a plaster heart, hand painted in the colour you choose. To reach what is inside, they have to crack it open.

Engraved by hand

Almost everything we make can be engraved by hand in our workshop: initials on the face of a signet, a date inside a ring, a line only they will understand. Engraved pieces cannot be returned, so if you are unsure of the size, order it plain and we will engrave it afterwards.
