We found this rather striking photograph of the Tower of London (taken by talented photographer Jon Reid) which William the Conqueror began building back in the early 1080’s. Eerily the last person to be executed there was a man called Josef Jakobs in 1941, which seems very close for comfort, and Rudolf Hess was one of the last state prisoners to be held in the Tower which certainly saw its fair share of state prisoners. All that history is completely surrounded by modern buildings like The Gherkin or ‘The Suppository’ as I like to call it. It doesn’t look incongruous really all these different buildings together, it just looks like history past and present going up before our eyes.

The giving
A heart they have to break
Every piece arrives in a Stephen Einhorn box. For the ones that should be remembered, we wrap the piece in soft cloth and seal it inside a plaster heart, hand painted in the colour you choose. To reach what is inside, they have to crack it open.

Personalised
Engraved by hand
Almost everything we make can be engraved by hand in our workshop: initials on the face of a signet, a date inside a ring, a line only they will understand. Engraved pieces cannot be returned, so if you are unsure of the size, order it plain and we will engrave it afterwards.
